CALL FOR BUSKERS
U District Green Street Summer Activation
Submissions for Busking are now Closed.
Call for Buskers
Our U District community has created a temporary, summer Green Street to host special events throughout the summer. On two occasions, we will feature buskers or street performers, including musicians, dancers, theater groups, and other performance artists who perform in public spaces. We have funding to compensate these performers, paid upon completion of performance.
Two Events for Performances:
Art Walk Competition
August 16 - 5:30-8:30pm
In addition to seeing art from local artists and designers, hosted in various businesses along The Ave on the third Friday of each month, on Saturday, August 16, the Summer Green Street will feature eight outdoor art installations for the U District Art Walk, when we invite folks for engagement and interaction with the artworks, and to support the placemaking efforts of the project.
This one-of-a-kind evening will showcase these creations and introduce the artists and designers behind them.
