Introduction
Art Walk Competition is a freestyle design competition open to all; concept stage, prototype or finished product by student and young artists, design studios, and the art-oriented in the City of Seattle area.

Competition is open to everyone including students and professionals. Design an outdoor art installation, which will be cost effective, environment friendly and feasible to build in the time frame to be installed on August 16, for the U District Art Walk. We encourage designs for all types of art installations that invite engagement and interaction as well as support the placemaking efforts of the project. View project Site Plan for contextual inspiration.

Project
The U District Green Street Summer Activation project is an experiment in 'tactical urbanism', where quick, light, and cheap interventions will shape a section of urban street for the summer. An encouraged theme is 'shelter'. Click here for more information on the project.
